The shooting of 'Thuppakki' was to have begun earlier this week, but it has to be postponed as the issue of remuneration for Murugadoss cropped up during negotiations before sealing the deal.
According to sources, Murugadoss director had demanded a hefy fee of Rs. 12 crore and the Vijay side demurred and tried to get the fee reduced but in vain. Vijay backed out on production paving the way for others to fund the project.
Dhamu stepped in and agreed to produce the film, the sources said. The shooting was rescheduled to start on Nov.26 in Mumbai.
Kajal Agarwal is pairing with Vijay. Murugadoss had earlier signed up model Angela for the role. After the photo shooting had been done with Vijay, she had dropped out citing date's problem. Later Hindi actress Sonam Kapoor's name had been doing the rounds. Finally Murugadoss has zeroed in on Kajal Agarwal, the sources said..
